FGSD is built upon OpenGL and FLTK 1.1.x. As it works with textures when dealing with maps, it requires a pretty powerfull graphic card, preferably an AGP one. If only FGFS sceneries are loaded, an average 3D graphic card is enough.

FGSD compiles on Windows with MSVC or Cygwin, and on Linux with g++.
FGSD is also available via CVS to get the bleeding edge of developments. You can go here to get the instructions to download the source code.
